AEP ReCreation
Visit the award winning project known as ReCreation Land. This 42,000-acre project was built on once stripped coal mining land. It includes 63 million trees, 350 lakes and ponds, and 380 campsites. Enjoy mountain bike trail riding, hiking, camping, hunting, fishing, and trapping all free of charge on the restored lands.

Historic Stockport Mill
This mill was built in 1906 and has been renovated throughout the years. You will be amazed by the unique architecture, turbine powered electricity, and breathtaking views. Visitors can also enjoy a meal here Friday and Saturday 5:00-9:00pm and Sunday Noon-4:00pm.

Places of Interest

Wolf Creek Wildlife Area
3,600-acres owned by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources is open to the public for hunting and fishing. It is also one of only three places in the state of Ohio that offers primitive deer hunting season. This season allows bows and arrows to be used and is during the month of October.

Historic Walking Tour of McConnelsville
This walk will take you by some of the historical places located throughout and around downtown. There are 24 landmark destinations throughout this tour where you can learn the rich history of McConnelsville, OH.

Muskingum River
Enjoy a relaxed stroll along the scenic river that you can see just across from the Inn. Stop at the local bait store then enjoy an evening of fishing from the dock. The Muskingum River Parkway has the oldest hand-operated lock and damn system still in use in the county. This offers the perfect backdrop for boating, fishing or just relaxing.
